CO₂RE® Intima
Fractional CO₂ delivered through a gynaecological probe.

The Candela CO₂RE® Intima is the gynaecological handpiece of the same platform I use on faces. It places the same microscopic columns of controlled injury into the vaginal wall, and the healing that follows lays down collagen and restores thickness, elasticity, and natural lubrication to tissue thinned by childbirth or by menopause. Nothing is cut and nothing is injected. One condition before an appointment is set: a complete gynaecological report with swabs, from your own gynaecologist. That report tells me whether I am treating atrophy or an infection nobody has found yet.
Best for tissue that has thinned after childbirth, or after menopause.
- ·Vaginal laxity
- ·Vaginal dryness
- ·Mild stress urinary incontinence
- ·Pain or discomfort during intercourse
- ·Mild vaginal prolapse (grade I–II), as an adjunct
The rules are strict for the first week.
Most patients go back to normal activity the same day. Mild cramping in the first twenty-four hours is common. A watery discharge for a few days after that is the treated wall shedding, not an infection. The restrictions below all sit inside the first week.
Do
- Bring the gynaecological report with the swabs to the consultation. Without it there is no appointment.
- Tell us if your period overlaps the appointment. We simply move it.
- Expect a watery discharge for the first few days, and use a pad rather than anything internal.
- Come back at the interval we agreed. Where a series is planned, one session is not the treatment.
- Contact the clinic the same day if you develop fever, real pain, or a foul-smelling discharge.
Don't
- No penetrative intercourse for 7 days.
- No tampons, cups, or douching for 7 days.
- No pool, hot tub, or sauna for 7 days.
